Cœur de Famille Cœur de Famille

Every reunion starts with an idea

A family reunion.
A little of everyone.

The cousins you know by heart. The ones you would love to see again. And the children who have yet to put faces to all those names.

Several generations enjoying time together as a family
A meal, a catch-up, a few memories. And the pleasure of being together.

A starting point

What is a family reunion?

A family reunion brings together relatives who share common ancestors, sometimes across several generations. Partners and children can naturally be part of it too: each family decides whom it would like to include.

You do not need a hundred guests.
You do not need a country estate.
Just a wish to get together.

Over to you

What would your reunion look like?

Choose a format, a rough number of guests and what you would enjoy most. Leave with a starting idea you can adapt.

What you would enjoy most

Your starting idea

A day of catching up

Arrive in the late morning, share a meal and an activity, with free time to enjoy being together.

Choose a contact for each family branch and keep practical information in one place.

Our idea: a table of old photographs to start conversations.

Three ideas to get every generation talking

01

Who is in this photograph?

Everyone brings an old photo and shares what they know about it. Note names and dates with those who remember them.

20 to 30 min · A few photos · Joining in is optional
02

The family quiz

Mixed-age teams, friendly questions and a few anecdotes. Everyone can suggest a question or simply listen.

30 min · Paper and pencils · All generations
03

A recipe, a story

A little card beside each dish: who used to make it, where the recipe comes from and why you still love cooking it.

During the meal · Handwritten cards · No screens

From an idea to a plan

Useful tools to get started

Questions before you start

Do we need to know our whole family history?

No. Start with your grandparents or a family branch you already know. A tree helps explain the connections, but it is not a requirement for meeting up.

Who can come to a family reunion?

Close and distant cousins, and the other relatives you would like to include. Make it clear from the start whether partners and children are invited too.

Does it have to be a big event?

A meal with a few families is a good start. Choose a format that fits your wishes, travel distances and budget. There is no minimum number of guests.

What if you got the idea started?

Try a budget, find a format and prepare your first invitation. The tools are here whenever you are ready.
