When the family group is no longer enough
A conversation remains handy for quick exchanges. A structured family space becomes useful when you need to find a date, welcome a new relative or preserve photos with their context.
Immediate exchanges
What a group conversation does very well
A short message, a photo taken today or a quick reply naturally belongs in a conversation. The family already knows the tool and receives information without learning a new process.
Cœur de Famille offers no instant chat, calls or end-to-end encryption equivalent to a messaging service. It therefore does not replace every use of a group.
The limits of a chronological thread
When information becomes hard to find
Fictional example: Claire is looking for the address of Sunday’s meal. In the conversation, an initial address was corrected between two sets of photos. She opens the reunion page: the confirmed venue, welcome time and organiser’s contact are together in one place. She can send a quick message to her group, then find the details on the page.
Family context
Welcome a new member without resending months of messages
An invited person joins a space where profiles, family relationships, events and authorised posts are already organised. They do not need to reconstruct the story from an exported conversation.
Family profiles
Relatives can be represented in the tree even without a sign-in account.
Posts you can find again
Visible content stays associated with its family and, where relevant, an event.
Before each post
Choose who sees a post
Cœur de Famille offers four cumulative audiences: My descendants, Close family, Extended family and Whole family. Active recipients are calculated when the post is published.

When to simply keep your group
If your family mainly wants immediate messages and does not need a tree, audiences, tracked events or findable content, a conversation may be enough. Both uses can also coexist.
