The preview uses our tree’s rendering engine and controls: pan, zoom, search, open households and explore relationship paths.
In this trial
Reads GEDCOM 5.5, 5.5.1 and 7.0 in UTF-8, with up to 5,000 people. To keep exploration smooth, no more than 250 people appear at once. Dates are shown as written; notes, sources and media are not included.
After creating your space
You can import your file with a review preview, choose which branch to keep and confirm matches and relationships. The application’s permissions, branch rules and validations then apply. Some complex unions may be grouped differently from this trial.
Your trial is not transferred automatically: you will select the GEDCOM again in your family space. Photographs, memories and invitations will be added as you choose.
About GEDCOM
A file for passing on family connections.
Where can I find my GEDCOM?
In your genealogy software or service, find the export function and choose GEDCOM in UTF-8. The file usually ends in .ged. This workshop opens that file; it does not connect to your account on another service.
What happens if I close or reload the page?
If your browser allows storage, your trial returns after a reload or on other workshop pages in the same tab. It expires after 30 minutes. Closing the tab normally ends its session; use “Delete my file” to erase it explicitly, especially before leaving a shared device.
Is this a complete copy of my genealogy research?
No. This trial shows the identities and relationships needed to display the tree. It replaces neither your original file nor your research software. Keep your documentary sources, notes and photographs separately.
